LG 47LF65 LCD TV Problems :(
It all started about 4 months ago with a hissing throught the televisino speakers, which in our case are not being used due to having a surround system and as such are turned off in the tv settings. The hissing was intermittent and was not really that noticeable so we left it.
Now we have a problem where by in the morning the tv will not turn on. The standby LED shows red, but when you hit the power button on the tv or the remote the LED goes out and then takes about 5 minutes to come back on, still red with no tv picture. We repeat this process about 5 times, untill it gets to a stage where the LED goes green, flashes on and off about 4 times then goes back red. At this stage this process keeps repeating by itself untill the tv finally comes on, very annoying.
Once the tv is on and warm you can turn the tv on and off with no problem, so i think that it must be a problem with one of the valves lol 
... just kidding, i think that there may be a dry solder joint on one of the components that has become a problem over time as the tv does become quite hot due to the backlight, or this is indicative of the back light or control board failing.
Right lets book the bugger in for repair... get the warranty... hu, 3 months out of manufacturer warranty, grrrrr. Surely i've not had the tv that long? Knew i should have took it in when the speakers started playing up, it would have still been a month in warranty 
I had taken extended warranty on the tv which was £8.99 per month, but i cancelled it not so long back, i am sure though that i can simply start paying it again to be covered, i bloody hope so or ill be back to using a 14" portable to watch my blu-ray on.
Has anyone else had this tv with the smae problem, if so what was the cause and what was done to repair it?
